WAVERLY — Waverly swept S-VE here Thursday night in IAC volleyball action to improve to 3-0 on the young season.

The Lady Wolverines won by scores of 25-16, 25-18, and 25-18.

Senior Katie Goodwin led Waverly with seven service points, 18 setter assists, and six digs, and junior Siera Kirk had seven points, including a team-high six service aces, and senior Madison Mitchell had seven points (three aces).

Adrian Clinton and French exchange student Lea Guillotine each had six points, including three aces, in the win, while junior Sydney Meyers registered a team-high 10 kills, senior Abigail Searles recorded eight digs, and sophomore Paige Lewis added five kills.

Jamie Sayre led S-VE with five points, two kills, and two digs, while Lindsey Greene had nine points, a team-high nine kills, and two digs, Tara Perkins added five points (three aces), and Alexis Smith contributed eight assists and two points.

Waverly returns to action Tuesday at Newark Valley, while S-VE, now 1-2, travels to Thomas A. Edison.

JV: Waverly improved to 3-0 in junior varsity action with a sweep of S-VE by scores of 25-14 and 25-6.

Maddy Goodwin led Waverly with 17 points, including 10 aces, and three digs, while Chloe Croft had eight points (five aces), Caitlin Bakley recorded seven assists, and Morgan Adams registered four kills.
