TIOGA CENTER  Watkins Glen scored four goals in a 13-minute span in the second half to take a 5-0 lead, then held on for a 6-3 win over Tioga here Tuesday night in IAC girls soccer action at Haggerty Field.

Taylor Kelly scored about five minutes into the game to give Watkins Glen a 1-0 lead, which it carried into the halftime intermission.

Makenna Fraboni scored about 7 1/2 minutes into the second half to give the Lady Senecas a 2-0 lead.

Hannah Morse, Isobel Scheffey, and Ryanna LaMoreaux added goals over the next 13 minutes to give Watkins Glen a 5-0 lead midway through the second half.

The Lady Tigers erupted for three goals in less than nine minutes to trim the deficit to 5-3.

Destini Sweet re-directed a well-placed cross from Mackenzie Macumber to put Tioga on the board with 15:36 left in the game.

About 2 1/2 minutes later, Emily Polo Rankin drove down the middle of the field and beat the Watkins Glen keeper to make it 5-2.

With 6:42 left in the game, Macumber joined the scoring parade to trim the deficit to 5-3.

Less than two minutes later, Macumber was dragged down in the box. Polo Rankin stepped to the line for a PK, but Watkins Glen standout keeper Cierra Barber was able to knock down the shot.

With 3 minutes remaining in the game, Morse scored her second goal of the game to seal the victory.

Watkins Glen had a 32-21 advantage in shots-on-goal. Both teams had four corner kicks.

Tioga keeper Kylie Zimmerman had 17 saves, and Cheyenne Harkins had one, while Barber had nine saves for Watkins Glen.

Tioga wraps up the season with a 2-10 record.
