DRYDEN — Waverly’s Zoe Mennig scored with 42 seconds remaining to help the South salvage a 2-2 tie against the North here Saturday in the IAC Senior All-Star game at Tompkins-Cortland Community College.

After 58 minutes of scoreless action, SVEC’s Mackenzie Grube gave the South a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal.

The North answered with two goals in a 3 1/2-minute span to take a 2-1 lead with 15:30 left in the contest.

Mennig, who started the game at keeper, was assisted on her game-tying goal by Waverly teammate Elle Nittinger.

SVEC’s Jeanetta Hays started the game on offense, but later replaced Mennig in net, while SVEC’ Daysha Rorick and Ari Blaasch played in the midfield, Gracie Dutra played defense, and Tioga's Emily Polo Rankin played forward for the South.
