WOMEN'S COLLEGE SOCCER: TIOGA GRAD PAHLMANN, SVEC ALUM SLOCUM FINISH UP FRESHMEN SEASONS AT TC3 (2017-11-09)

DRYDEN — Tioga grad Justice Pahlmann, and SVEC alum Katie Slocum — both freshmen on the Tompkins-Cortland Community College women’s soccer team — saw their initial college season come to an abrupt end with an upset loss in the opening round of the NCJAA Region III playoffs.

The seventh-seed Lady Panthers dropped a 2-1 decision to Mohawk Valley CC to finish the season at 10-6.

Slocum recorded seven saves in net in the loss.

Candor grad Angela Martone scored TC3’s lone goal in the game on a header, off a free kick into the box from Candor grad Emily Potter.

For the season, Pahlmann shared the team lead with six goals, and in game-winning goals with two. She also had two assists, and was second on the team with 14 points.

Pahlmann had 36 shots on the season, including 22 shots-on-goal for a .611 on-goal percentage.

Slocum started eight games in net for TC3, and appeared in 10 overall. She posted a 6-3 record, and recorded 49 saves, while allowing just nine goals. She posted two shutouts.
