THE VALLEY  The Tioga wrestling team opens its 2017-18 dual season at home tonight, and the Waverly bowlers are also at home in the only two events on the docket Wednesday.

WRESTLING
Whitney Point (1-4) at Tioga, 7 p.m.:
The Tigers are coming off a seventh-place finish at the rugged Marino Invitational over the weekend, while the Golden Eagles went 1-4 at the Chittenango Duals.

Whitney Point appears to have every weight class except for 160 and 285 covered, while Tioga, which competed with just 11 wrestlers at the Marino, should be back at full strength.

The Eagles features returning Section IV runner-up at 182 senior Dylan Dunham, who is currently wrestling at 220, 138-pound senior YaMeek Kendrick both 4-0 on the season, as well as 126-pound junior Brennan Roe (3-0), and 152-pound junior Weston Underwood (3-1).
