THE VALLEY  The Waverly boys swim team opens it home schedule this afternoon in the only event on the docket in the Valley.

The Tioga bowling teams are on the road at Groton.

BOYS SWIMMING
O-M (1-0) at Waverly (1-0), 4:30 p.m.:
The Wolverines are coming off a 116-67 win over defending IAC duals champions Lansing Tuesday their first win over the Bobcats since 2002, while the Indians topped Dryden, 100-66.

Last year, Waverly won a pair of close decisions over the Indians. At O-M, Waverly recorded a 48-46 win. In their second meeting, Waverly rallied at home for an 89-81 win.

BOYS BOWLING
Tioga (12-0) at Groton (6-10), 3:30 p.m.:
The Tigers are coming off a sweep of O-M, while the Indians are coming off a sweep of Candor.

Tioga leads the Small School Division by 3 games in the loss column over Thomas A. Edison, which is 13-3.

The Tigers are averaging 927 pins per game, while Groton is averaging 680 pins per game.

GIRLS BOWLING
Tioga (7-5) at Groton (5-11), 3:30 p.m.:
The Lady Tigers are coming off a 3-1 win over O-M, while the Lady Indians were swept by Candor.

The Tigers are in third place in the Small School Division, trailing Edison (13-3) and Candor (15-5).

Tioga is averaging 677 pins per game, while Groton is averaging 588 pins.
