WAVERLY — Senior Jared Stewart, sophomore Mike Atanasoff, and freshman Collin Keefer won four events apiece to lead unbeaten Waverly to a 118-62 win over Lansing here Thursday afternoon in IAC boys swimming action.
Eighth-grader Kaden Wheeler was a triple-winner for the Wolverines, now 9-0, and freshman Ryan Bennett swam on a pair of winning relays.
Stewart led a sweep in the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:22.06, while Wheeler was second in 2:26.46, and senior Tyler Brooks was third in 2:32.88.
Stewart also won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:06.06, and senior Dalton Loper was third in 1:19.86.
Atanasoff won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.06 seconds, and Bennett was third in 26.18 seconds. He also won the 100-yard freestyle in 53.34 seconds, and Lee was third in 57.29 seconds.
Keefer won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:08.91, and sophomore Josh Lee was third in 2:17.17. He also won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:55.58 seconds, and 7th-grader Oscar Williams was third in 7:05.56.
Atanasoff and Stewart teamed with Wheeler, and Bennett in the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:58.04.
Atanasoff and Stewart also teamed with Keefer, and Bennett to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:45.01.
Keefer and Wheeler teamed with Brooks, and Lee to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:05.62.
Wheeler won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:03.59.
Junior Trent Wright won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:17.02, and sophomore Mike Tracy was second in 1:20.51.
Sophomore Gage Streeter finished second in the 1-meter diving competition with 175.3 points.
Waverly returns to action Thursday at O-M.
