WAVERLY Small School champion Tioga kept Watkins Glen from winning a division title of its own with a 2.5-1.5 win here Tuesday afternoon in IAC boys bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.
The Senecas entered the day tied atop the Large School standings with Waverly, but the Wolverines after dropping the first game posted a 3-1 win over Watkins Glens rival O-M at Harborside Lanes in Watkins Glen.
Tioga, which entered the match with just one loss this season, banged out an 1,153-983 win in the first game, then won the second game, 1,035-959.
Watkins Glen roared back in the third game with a 1,125-879 that also resulted in tie for the total-pinfall point at 3,067 apiece.
Senior Jake Robertson led Tioga with a 685 series on games of 265, 216, and 204, while junior Eric Sherman shot a 619 on games of 245, 162, and 212, and junior Jason Sherman had a 607 on games of 230, 209, and 168.
Freshman Kolton Pond shot a 552 for the Tigers, including a 216, while senior Nate Merrill added a 532, including a 232, and senior Trenton Perrotta tacked on a 493, including a 225.
Wrett Brower led Watkins Glen with a 697 series, while Nathaniel Rose added a 638, and Conlin Wysocki shot a 599.
Tioga, wraps up the regular season at 61.5-2.5, returns to action Saturday at the IAC Championships.
