ON TAP TODAY: TIOGA BOYS PLAY FOR FIRST SECTION IV TITLE IN 30 YEARS (2018-03-04)

THE VALLEY  The state-ranked Tioga boys basketball team plays for its first Section IV title in 30 years this afternoon in a very rare Sunday afternoon contest.

BOYS BASKETBALL
4-Tioga (17-4) vs. 7-Unadilla Valley (16-7), 3 p.m. @ SUNY Cortland:
The Tigers are coming off a 58-52 win over top-seed Walton in the semifinals Tuesday, while the Storm topped Lansing, 50-41, in the other semi-final game.

Unadilla Valley has bested three IAC teams on its way to the finals, beating Watkins Glen (72-52), and Union Springs (69-60) before topping Lansing.

Unadilla Valley dropped a 75-65 decision at home to Walton earlier this season.

The winner advances to the New York State playoffs, and will face the Section III champ next Saturday at Onondaga Community College.
