WOMEN'S COLLEGE SWIMMING: SAYRE GRAD PORTER WRAPS UP COLLEGIATE CAREER WITH TWO MEDALS AT CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS (2018-03-10)

LANCASTER, Pa. — Sayre grad Katherine Porter capped a stellar career on the Ursinus women’s swim team with a pair of medal-winning performances recently at the Centennial Conference Championships.

Porter won the silver medial in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 57.23. She also won the bronze medal in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:09.45.

The Lady Bears won their fifth consecutive conference championship, including all four years Porter competed.

As a junior, Porter won the bronze medal in the 100- and 200-yard fly events. As a sophomore, she won a silver medal in the 200 fly in a time of 2:07.76, after topping the field in the preliminaries in a time of 2:06.15.

As a freshman, Porter set a pair of school records at the conference championships, winning a silver medal in a school-record time of 57.64 seconds, and as part of the 200-yard medley relay.
