CORNING  Tioga senior Nick Klossner will continue his basketball career at Corning Community College next fall after signing his National Letter-of-Intent here Wednesday in a signing ceremony at the college.

Klossner, who was an all-state honorable mention as a senior, said Corning was the obvious choice.

It was a pretty easy decision, he said. Its close to home, and it felt like a good fit.

Ive been here to watch games, and it just seemed like a good group of guys, he added.

Klossner becomes the first signee for the Red Barons class of 2020, and head coach Isaac Bushey is glad to kick off the class with a local recruit.

Its a fantastic thing for our program to bring in a local player with the success that Nick has had, he said. Ive seen him play a few times and he was impressive in the way he distributes the ball. He has some flash, but hes a hard worker, and he doesnt get rattled.

He brings great experience as a leader in both basketball and football, and comes from a tradition of winning, added Bushey. Were very excited to have Nick bring that winning mentality to our program and are looking forward to the contributions he will make on the court and on our campus.
