THE VALLEY — A pair of playoff baseball games, featuring Tioga at home, and Section IV golf comprises Monday’s docket of postseason action.

BASEBALL
Section IV Playoffs
Class B Quarterfinals
7-Waverly (12-8) at 2-Oneonta (11-5), 4:30 p.m.:
The Wolverines are coming off a 1-0 win over O-M / Watkins Glen Thursday, while the Yellowjackets finished off the regular season with a 1-0 win over Johnson City Thursday.

The last two times these teams met in the postseason was 2016, Oneonta won 9-0 in the quarterfinals.

Class C Quarterfinals
6-Unatego (13-6) at 3-Tioga (18-2), 4:30 p.m.:
The Tigers are coming off a come-from-behind 4-3 win over Trumansburg Wednesday in the IAC Large School Championship game, while the Spartans rolled over Moravia 11-2 Thursday in the opening round of the Class C playoffs.

The last time these two teams met in the postseason was 2016, Tioga prevailed 1-0 in the quarterfinals on the strength of a 1-hitter by Jesse Manuel.

BOYS GOLF
Section IV Class C Championships at Maple Hills Golf Course @ Marathon:
Coming off an unbeaten regular season, Tioga will look to improve on the fourth-place finish it posted in each of the last two Class C Championships.

Sophomore Sam Taylor, who qualified for States for the third consecutive year, finished sixth at the Class C event last year, and was third in 2016.
