WAVERLY LITTLE LEAGUE (MAJORS): CUBS RIDE BIG INNING TO 11-7 WIN OVER GIANTS (2018-06-04)

WAVERLY ó The PS Bank / C&N Bank Cubs scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning to break open a tie game on its way to an 11-7 win over the Tomís Hardware / S&J General Contractors Giants here Thursday evening in Waverly Little League Majors Division baseball action.

The Cubs scored twice in the bottom of the first inning to take a 2-1 lead, but the Giants answered with two runs in the top of the third to tie the game at 3-3.

Jake VanHouten singled twice and scored a run, and Nathaniel Chapman, Mark Emanuel and Tristan Campbell each singled and scored a run to pace the Cubs at the plate.

Tyler Chapman and Jake Besecker each scored a pair of runs in the win, and Ryan Bostwick, Miles Emanuel, and Keaton Anderson each crossed the plate once.

Jay Pipher singled and scored two runs, and Aiden Doherty singled and scored a run to lead the Giants at the plate, while Trenton Sindoni singled, Brian Hicks scored a pair of runs, and Nathan Kellogg and Kadyn Whitney each scored one run.
