COLLEGE FOOTBALL: WAVERLY GRAD MILLER ENJOYS CAREER DAY IN UTICA'S WIN OVER CATHOLIC UNIVRSITY (2018-09-09)
Valley Sports Report UTICA, N.Y. — Waverly grad Peyton Miller, a junior on the Utica College football team, set new career-high marks in receptions, yardage, and TDs in a game in the Pioneers’ 45-21 win over Catholic University here Saturday at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium.
Miller, an all-state quarterback at Waverly, hauled in 13 catches for 141 yards and three TDs to help Utica College to its second straight win to open the season.
Miller’s first TD was 10-yard grab to give the Pioneers a 7-0 lead. He caught a 5-yard TD early in the second quarter to make it 28-0.
Miller’s third score was a 27-yard reception with 5:58 left in the third quarter to make it 42-14.
In two games, Miller has 23 receptions for 230 yards and there TDs.
Utica College returns to action Sept. 29 when it hosts Cortland.
