Valley Sports Report ENDWELL — Kennedy Wheeler and Starr Harford notched Waverly’s only first-place finishes in a double-dual meet split against Maine-Endwell and Notre Dame here Tuesday afternoon in girls swimming action.
The Lady Wolverines topped Notre Dame 109-63, but dropped a 108-75 decision to Section IV power Maine-Endwell.
Wheeler won the 50-yard freestyle in 26.95 seconds, and Maggie Whitley was second in 27.39 seconds. Wheeler also finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:05.69.
Harford won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:04.88. She finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:14.96.
Abigail Durgin finished second in the 200-yard IM in 2:37.55. She was third in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:19.59.
Lourden Benjamin finished second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:01.47. Benjamin was third in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:11.52, and Lillian Keefer was fourth in 1:13.74.
Marnie Sweeney finished second in the 1-meter diving with a score of 129.35 points.
The foursome of Wheeler, Durgin, Delaney Vascoe, and Whitley finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:55.74.
Waverly hosts the Waverly Invitational Saturday morning.
