PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. — The Athens-based Stealin’ Home 11U travel baseball team won the BSE Fall Kick Off Classic in convincing fashion here on Sept. 2-3.
Stealin’ Home went 4-0 at the Labor Day weekend tournament, outscoring its opponents by a combined margin of 51-12.
Stealin’ Home 19, Keystone Bombers 10
Kenny Mapes, Matthew Driesbaugh, and Hunter House combined to drive in 11 runs, and Stealin’ Home scored 11 runs in the bottom of the third inning to rally for a 19-10 win over the Manheim-based Keystone Bombers in the opening game of the tournament.
Stealin’ Home took a 7-0 lead in the first inning, and led 8-3 after two innings before the Bombers rallied for seven runs in the top of the third to take a 10-8 lead.
Matthew Driesbaugh and Hunter House were each 3-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBI to pace SH’s 16-hit attack, while Nick Grazul was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and one RBI, and Kenny Mapes doubled and singled, scored twice, and had five RBI.
Noah Robinson tripled and doubled, scored one run, and had four RBI for SH, while Conner Mosher singled and scored three times, Troy Rosenbloom singled, scored two runs, and stole two bases, and Conner Monroe singled and scored two runs. Shea Bailey scored a run and drove in a run.
Stealin’ Home 8, West Chester Dragons 0
Grazul scattered five hits over five innings to lead Stealin’ Home to an 8-0 win over the West Chester Dragons. He struck out three and walked none.
Rosenbloom was 3-for-3 with a double, one run scored, two stolen bases, and three RBI to pace SH’s seven-hit attack.
Driesbaugh singled and drove in two runs in the win, while House and Mapes each singled and scored a pair of runs, and Robinson singled, scored one run, and drove in one run.
Stealin’ Home 11, Berks Bulls 0
Grazul and Robinson combined on a two-hitter, and Mapes drove in five runs to lead Stealin’ Home to an 11-0 win over the Berks Bulls.
Grazul struck out three, while allowing one hit and one walk in three innings to earn the win. Robinson gave up one hit and one walk, while striking out one in one inning of work.
Mapes homered and singled, scored two runs, and had five RBI, and Driesbaugh singled twice, scored one run, and drove in two runs to lead SH’s 11-hit attack, while Grazul singled twice and scored one run, and Kaiden Hyjek doubled and scored a run.
Rosenbloom singled, scored two runs, and knocked in a run in the win, while Robinson singled and scored two runs, Bailey singled and drove in two runs, and House singled, scored one run, and had two RBI.
Stealin’ Home 13, Eagleville Phillies 2
Stealin’ Home scored nine runs in the top of the first inning and cruised to a 13-2 win over Eagleville to complete its unbeaten run through the tournament.
Mapes stroked three singles, scored one run, and had four RBI, and Robinson had three hits, including a double, and scored three runs to pace SH’s 18-hit attack, while Hyjek doubled and singled, and scored three runs, and House singled twice, scored two runs, and drove in a run.
Mosher singled twice and scored a run in the win, while Driesbaugh singled twice and knocked in a run, Robinson singled, scored one run, and drove in two runs, Bailey singled, scored one run, and knocked in one run, Monroe singled and scored, and Grazul added a single.
Grazul earned the win, allowing two runs on seven hits in four innings of work. He struck out four and walked none.
