LAPORTE, Pa. — Kassidy Beinlich stopped an early Sayre penalty kick, and Bethany Beinlich netted a hat trick to lead Sullivan County to a 5-0 win here Saturday afternoon in non-league girls soccer action.

About 15 1/2 minutes into the game, Sayre senior Stephanie Klovekorn toed the line for a PK, but Kassidy Beinlich was up to the task to keep the game scoreless.

Slightly less than 10 minutes later, Bethany Beinlich scored the game’s first goal.

With 7:36 remaining in the first half, Zoe Pedro gave the Lady Griffins a 2-0 lead, and 92 seconds later Bethany Beinlich extended the lead to 3-0.

Bethany Beinlich capped off her hat trick with 7:05 remaining in the contest.

Sullivan County had a 25-6 advantage in shots-on-goal, and had a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.

Senior Camry Lane recorded 20 saves in net for Sayre, and Kassidy Beinlich had six for Sullivan County.

Sayre, now 8-5, hosts Muncy Monday in a non-league contest.
