|NTL GIRLS SOCCER: SAYRE RIDES FIRST-HALF FLURRY TO 5-3 WIN OVER MUNCY (10 PHOTOS) (2018-10-08)

SAYRE — Junior Abby Moliski and freshman Roz Haney scored goals 3 1/2 minutes apart midway through the first half to help Sayre to a 4-1 halftime lead en route to a 5-3 win over Muncy here Monday afternoon in non-league girls soccer action at the Lockhart Street Bowl.
Haney, off a feed from senior Stephanie Klovekorn, scored less than three minutes into the game to give the Lady Redskins a quick 1-0 lead, but Muncy’s Aleah Bigelow scored in the 11th minute to tie the game.
With 19:16 remaining in the first half, Moliski, off another assist from Klovekorn, gave Sayre a 2-1 lead, Haney scored an unassisted goal with 15:53 remaining to make it 3-1.
Klovekorn got into the scoring column with on a direct kick with 4:04 left int he first half to extend the lead to 4-1.
Muncy’s Lauren Anderson scored four minutes after the intermission to trim the deficit to 4-2.
With 15:01 left in the game, junior Courtney Sindoni scored on a header off a feed from Haney to give Sayre a 5-2 lead.
Sayre had a 13-9 advantage in shots-on-goal, while Muncy had a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
Rebecca Dgien recorded eight saves for Muncy, while senior Camry Lane had six for Sayre.
The Lady Redskins, now 9-5, hosts Wyalusing Wednesday.
