COLLEGE FOOTBALL: FORMER TIOGA TEAMMATES SQUARE OFF ON COLLEGIATE GRIDIRON (2018-11-01)

Valley Sports Report
BUFFALO  — Former Tioga teammates Zach Hutchinson, a junior tackle at Morrisville State, and Adam Zwierlein, a junior linebacker at Buffalo State, squared off on the gridiron Saturday for the first time at the collegiate level.

Hutchison’s Mustangs came out on top in a 38-14 decision, thanks in large part to a 21-point erst-quarter outburst en route to a 24-0 halftime lead.

Hutchinson, a stalwart on the Mustangs’ offensive line, helped Morrisville to 335 yards in total offense, including 192 rushing yards.

Zwierlein, who has started the last four games for the Bengals, had one tackle in the loss. On the season, he had 18 tackles, including eight solo stops, one tackle-for-loss, and one fumble recovery.

Hutchinson and Zwierlein were two-way starters on Tioga’s 2015 state championship team.

Buffalo State, now 1-7 hosts Utica College Saturday at noon, while Morrisville State (5-3) hosts Hartwick.
