IAC GIRLS BOWLING: TIOGA WINS THREE CLOSE GAMES IN SWEEP OF EDISON (2018-12-05)

WAVERLY — Tioga won three closely-contested games to post a sweep of Thomas A. Edison here Wednesday afternoon in IAC girls bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.

The Lady Tigers, now 6-14, won the first game by 35 pins (616-581) and the final two games by 25 pins (603-578 and 703-678) for a total-pinfall victory of 1,922 to 1,837.

Senior Mackenzie Robinson led Tioga with a 439 series, while junior Mackenzie Macumber rolled a 382, senior SueAnn Grantham had a 363, and sophomore Millie Grantham added a 356.

Sophomore Destini Sweet had a 338 for the Lady Tigers, and sophomore Mary Taylor chipped in with a 312. Junior Bailey Elston rolled a 413 in reserve for Tioga.

Elizabeth Kelley led Edison with a 458 series, and Tori Dupont added a 419.

Tioga returns to action Tuesday at O-M.
