YOUTH BASKETBALL: GREEN SUFFERS FIRST LOSS, BUT REMAINS ATOP WAVERLY REC. 5TH- & 6TH-GRADE LEAGUE STANDINGS (2019-01-04)

Valley Sports Report
WAVERLY - Green remains atop the Waverly Recreation 5th- & 6th-Grade Boys Basketball League standings, but Orange handed them their first loss of the season recently.

Red 36, Blue 30: Bryce Laforest scored 20 points and Brance Vanalastine added eight for Red in the win. Aiden Doherty  and Porter Dadonna led Blue with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Orange 33, Green 28:
Ben Shaw poured in 21 points and Lincoln Sharpsteen added 10 to help Orange past previously-unbeaten Green. Carter Davies led Greene with 19 points.

Green 61, Blue 24: Carter Davies pumped in 28 points, and Peyton Robinson and Trevor Blauvelt both had 13 to lead Green. Eli Tenny led Blue with 10 points.

Orange 34, Red 22: Ben Shaw led Orange with 21 points and Gavin Hunt added eight. J.T. Williams led Red with 13 points.

League Standings: 1. Green 8-1; 2. Orange 5-4; 3. Red 4-5; 4. Blue 1-8.
