MEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL: SAYRE GRAD WILLIAMS HEATING UP FOR EMMANUEL COLLEGE (2019-01-23)

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - In seven games since New Year's Day, Sayre grad Nate Williams, a junior on the Emmanuel College men's basketball team, has made 16 3-pointers and is averaging 7.4 points per game.

Williams, who has made 16 of 34 3-point attempts (47 percent) in that span, also had 14 rebounds and eight assists in the seven-game stretch.

Williams' best game of the season was on Jan. 2 in a 70-58 win over Mount Olive. He scored 15 points on 4-for-4 shooting from behind the 3-point arc, and 3-for-3 shooting from the free-throw line.

On the season, Williams, who has started in all 22 games this season, is averaging 6.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game. He is shooting 37 percent from 3-point range.

Emmanuel College returns to action Saturday when it hosts King College.
