THE VALLEY  The Tioga girls have the lone home game of the night, while the Waverly boys are on the road, but both teams have one thing in common they need a win to keep their postseason hopes alive.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Waverly (6-11) at Chenango Forks (5-12), 5:45 p.m. JV start:
The Wolverines are coming off a 60-49 loss at Troy Monday,  while the Blue Devils are coming off a 72-69 overtime loss to arch-rival Chenango Valley Tuesday.

Athens (11-7) at Towanda (4-15), 6 p.m. JV start:
The Wildcats are coming off a 57-46 home loss to North Penn-Mansfield Tuesday, while the Black Knights dropped a 69-48 decision at Wellsboro.

In their first meeting this season, Athens rolled to a 77-35 win over Towanda in the opening round of the Valley Christmas Tournament.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Deposit-Hancock (11-6) at Tioga (6-11), 6 p.m. (VARSITY ONLY):
The Lady Tigers are coming off a 59-43 win over Marathon Tuesday, while D-H rolled to a 52-26 win over Oxford.

In their first meeting this season, Deposit-Hancock pulled out a 44-36 win over Tioga in the opening game of Kazalski Holiday Tournament at Bainbridge-Guilford.

Sayre at Elk Lake, 4:30 p.m.
Athens vs. Jersey Shore at Towanda, 4:30 p.m.
