|NTL SWIMMING: SAYRE GIRLS, BOYS FALL AT ELK LAKE (2019-02-08)
Valley Sports Report
TOWANDA Senior Kayla Kittle and junior Jillian Shay won four events apiece for the Lady Redskins, and seniors Josh McClelland and Joey Stermer were triple-winners for the Sayre boys, but both teams dropped decisions here Thursday afternoon in non-league swimming action.
I am ecstatic about both the boys and girls performances in the pool tonight, said Sayre coach Carrie Wright.
The girls really closed the gap in the score tonight in comparison to our meet against Elk Lake in the beginning of the season, noted Wright in reference to an 83-63 decision on Dec. 19.
I am particularly happy with progress from newcomers Jade Fairlie and Ryan Maxim, added Wright.
