COLLEGE BASEBALL: TIOGA GRAD HENDERSHOT COLLECTS FIVE HITS IN PENN STATE'S SEASON-OPENING SWEEP OF MONMOUTH (2019-02-17)

Parker Hendershot, a sophomore on the Penn State baseball team, had five hits and three RBI in the Nittany Lions' season-opening three-game sweep of Monmouth here this weekend at the USA Baseball National Training Complex.
On Friday, Hendershot had one of Penn State's four hits in a season-opening 1-0 win over Monmouth.
On Saturday, Hendershot stroked a one-out two-RBI single in the bottom of the first inning to give the Lions a 2-0 lead en rout to a 7-0 win over Monmouth.
Hendershot singled twice, scored two runs, and had two RBI in the win.
On Sunday, Hendershot singled twice and knocked in one run in Penn State's 6-4 win over Monmouth.
Hendershot plated the first run of the game with a two-out RBI single to left field in the home half of the first inning.
Penn State returns to action in a four-game series, including a doubleheader Saturday, against Fairfield this weekend.
