KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Waverly grad Zoe Mennig, a freshman on the Oswego State softball team, logged her first career hit and her first multi-hit game in her first three games.

On Saturday, Mennig ripped a pinch-hit double in her first collegiate at-bat in a 7-1 loss at Ferrum College.

On Monday, Mennig logged her first start behind the plate. She was 0-for-4, but did register her first RBI in a 7-5 loss to New York University.

Mennig's first multi-hit game came Monday in a 10-0 win over Messiah College. Sh was 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

Later in the day, Mennig, who started both games at catcher, scored a run and had an RBI in an 8-5 loss to Babson.

On the season, Mennig is hitting .273 (3 hits in 11 ABs) with one double, two RBI, and three runs scored. Defensively, she has handled all 10 defensive chances without an error.

Oswego, now 2-4, plays four more games in Florida this week, then returns home and hosts Clarkson Tuesday in a doubleheader. Clarkson's top pitcher is Waverly grad Sam Mennig - Zoe's older sister.
