NEW YORK STATE BOYS BASKETBALL: WAVERLY'S WARD EARNS CLASS B ALL-STATE RECOGNITION (2019-04-22)
Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY "” Waverly senior Dylan Ward has earned one more accolade for his final season on the high school hardwoods - all-state Class B boys basketball recognition.
Ward, the Valley Sports Report "Player of the Year," was a 16th-team Class B selection.
Ward, who could score from behind the 3-point arc or going to the rim - and anywhere in between, averaged 16.9 points and 12.5 rebounds, as well as 1.6 steals, 1.5 blocks, and 1.2 assists per game. He also knocked down 25 3 -pointers on the season.
Also earning all-state honors from the region were Owego seniors Kobe Bogart (7th-team Class B) and Christian Sage (16th-team Class B) and S-VE senior Nathan Mack (7th-team Class C).
