ATHENS — C&N Bank scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to rally for a 9-7 win over RTL-2 here Saturday evening in Athens Little League Majors Division baseball action.
Trailing 7-6, Collin Dawson walked and Troy Rosenbloom singled to lead off the bottom of the fifth inning. Nick Grazul then ripped a 2-0 pitch for a triple to plate both runners to give C&N Bank an 8-7 lead.
With one out, Rodney Chapman lined an RBI single to center field to up the C&N Bank lead to 8-6.
With two outs in the top of the sixth inning, RTL batters hit three consecutive singles to load the bases, but C&N Bank was able to preserve the win.
Troy Rosenbloom was 3-for-3 with one double, one run scored, and one RBI, and Eli Chapman tripled and doubled, scored two runs, and had two RBI to pace C&N Bank’s 10-hit attack.
Rodney Chapman singled twice and drove in one run in the win, while Grazul tripled, scored one run, and had two RBI, Isaac Wilcox singled, scored one run, and drove in two runs, Dawson singled, scored one run, and knocked in one run, and James Friend, Brodie Walker, and Gordon Weaver each scored one run.
