WYSOX  Sayre scored in every inning and rolled to an 18-5 win over Towanda here Sunday afternoon in pool play action in the District 15 Junior Division baseball playoffs.

Sayre built a 10-0 lead through 2 1/2 innings, thanks in large part to a six-run rally in the second inning.

Brayden Horton had three hits, including a pair of doubles, scored three runs, and drove in two runs, and Jake Burgess singled three times and scored twice to lead Sayre at the plate, while Camden Wheeler singled twice, scored two runs, and had two RBI, and David Northrup singled twice, scored a run, and drove in a run.

Isaiah Firestine tripled, scored three runs, and had four RBI in the win, while Zach Moore doubled, scored two runs, and drove in two runs, Kyler Setzer singled, scored three runs, and knocked in a run, Mason Houseknecht doubled, scored a run, and drove in a run, Oakley Gorman singled and knocked in two runs, and Jake Bennett singled and scored a run.

Northrop, Houseknecht,  Moore and Wheeler shared the pitching duties for Sayre and combined to fan six.

Sayre, now 2-0 in pool play, returns to action Tuesday at Canton.
