CANDOR Trumansburg scored the first two goals of the game and held on for a 2-1 win over SVEC here Tuesday afternoon in IAC crossover boys soccer action.

Logan Bonn, off a feed from Joseph Morpargo, broke a scoreless tie with 8:19 left in the first half.

Taidah Dennis-George gave the Blue Raiders a 2-0 lead with a goal with 27:09 left in the game. Conor Baird was credited with an assist.

Less than two minutes later, Lance Jensen put the Eagles on the board off a feed from Bryant Sexton to trim the deficit to 2-1.

Trumansburg had an 18-8 advantage in shots-on-goal, and a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.

SVEC keeper Jake Wentworth recorded seven saves.

The Eagles, now 0-3, return to action Monday when they host Newfield at Candor H.S.
