WAVERLY — Senior Jared Stewart, and sophomore Michael Atanasoff were quad-winners to lead Waverly to a 118-59 win over Towanda here Monday afternoon in non-league boys swimming action.
Sophomore Josh Lee won three events for the Wolverines, who improve to 8-0 on the season, and freshman Collin Keefer, 8th-grader Kaden Wheeler, and junior Trent Wright were double-winners.
Stewart won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:27.25, and senior Tyler Brooks was second in 2:34.01. He also won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:03.82, and Wheeler was third in 1:07.67.
Atanasoff won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 24.18 seconds. He also won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:12.69, and Wright was third in 1:20.75.
Atanasoff and Stewart, teamed with Wheeler and Wright to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:55.26.
Atanasoff and Stewart teamed with, Wright and Lee to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:46.14.
Lee, Keefer, Wheeler, and Brooks teamed to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:05.32.
Lee won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:09.98, and Keefer was second in 2:16.65. Keefer won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:53.44.
Sophomore Gage Streeter won the 1-meter diving completion with 179.05 points.
Wheeler finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:02.4, and junior Max VanDyke was third in 1:26.1, while Lee finished second in the 100-yard freestyle in 56.01 and Wright was third in 1:00.63.
Waverly returns to action Thursday when it hosts Lansing.
