THE VALLEY  Basketball takes center stage Tuesday as the regular season on both sides of the border draws to a close.

O-M (14-4) at Waverly (18-0), 5:30 p.m. JV start:
The state-ranked Lady Wolverines are coming off a IAC South Large School Division-clinching 65-49 win over Watkins Glen, while the Small School champion Lady Indians dropped a 44-37 decision at Newfield.

Last year, Waverly rolled to a 70-39 win at O-M.

Newark Valley (6-10) at Tioga (4-13), 6 p.m. JV start: The Lady Tigers are coming off a 62-42 loss at S-VE Friday, and close out the regular season Thursday when they host Towanda.

S-VE (11-6) at Notre Dame (11-6), 6 p.m. (Varsity only):
The Lady Panthers are coming 62-42 home win over Tioga Friday.

North Penn-Liberty (3-15) at Sayre (15-5), 6 p.m. JV start: The Lady Redskins are coming off a 45-27 win over North Penn-Mansfield Thursday, while the Lady Mountaineers dropped a 49-25 decision to Cowanesque Valley.

Earlier this season, Sayre cruised to a 68-30 win at NP-Liberty.

Athens (13-6) at Troy (0-16),  6 p.m. JV start:
The Lady Wildcats are coming off a 48-39 home loss to Wellsboro, while the winless Lady Trojans lost 52-19 at Wyalusing.

Earlier this season, Athens rolled over Troy at home, 49-8.

Tioga (14-3) at Newark Valley, 6 p.m. JV start:
The Tigers are coming off a 61-46 home win over Newark Valley Friday, while the Cardinals dropped a 66-52 decision at Newark Valley last Tuesday.

Tioga, ranked 20th in Class C, has won eight in a row, and is tied atop the IAC South Small School standings with Newfield.

Last year, Newark Valley won at Tioga, 59-49.

Notre Dame (12-5) at S-VE (5-11), 6 p.m. (Varsity only): The Panthers are coming off a 61-46 loss at Tioga Friday, while the Crusaders, who have won six in a row, beat Candor 59-53.

Notre Dame trails Waverly by 2 games in the IAC South Large School standings with two games remaining to play. A Waverly win or Notre Dame loss clinches the division for the Wolverines.

Last year, S-VE dropped a 60-45 decision at Notre Dame.
