ATHENS — Lucas Kraft delivered a game-tying three-RBI triple, and Brady Darrow followed with a walk-off RBI single to lift the Firemen to a 10-9 win over McDonald’s here Monday evening in Athens / Sayre Little League Majors Division baseball action.

McDonald’s built a 6-2 lead through 2 1/2 innings, and scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning, highlighted by a two-run double by Kaden Bennett, to take a 9-5 lead.

In the home half of the sixth, Peter Jones walked, and Chase Satterly singled to lead off the inning. With one out, Evan Sickler lined an RBI single to centerfield to trim the deficit to 9-6.

After Korey Miller walked to load the bases, Kraft belted his game-tying three-run triple to right field, setting the stage for Darrow’s game-winner.

Kraft tripled and singled, scored one run, and had four RBI, while Tim Allen and Darrow each had two hits and an RBI, and Sickler had two hits, a run scored, and an RBI to pace the Firemen’s 12-hit attack.

Miller singled and scored three runs in the win, while Nicholas Jacob singled and scored two runs, Ethan Hicks singled and drove in two runs, Satterly singled and scored one run, and Jones crossed the plate twice.

Jacob started for the Firemen, allowing six runs — all unearned — on four hits, while striking out four and walking three in 2 1/3 innings on the mound. Miller allowed two runs on two hits, while striking out two and walking five in 3 1/3 innings of relief.

Sickler earned the win, allowing an unearned run on one hit and one walk in 2/3 of an inning of relief.

Bennett doubled and singled, scored three runs, and had three RBI to pace McDonald’s at the plate, while Aidan Ennis doubled and singled, and had three RBI, Hudson Trump singled and scored two runs, and William Crossett and Ethan Gorsline each added a single.

Bennett had the best turn on the mound for McDonald’s, allowing three runs — two earned — on six hits in four innings. He struck out two and walked two.
