While there will likely be debate about where this Sayre girls basketball teams falls in terms of talent in comparison to its predecessors, there is one thing no one can debate: this Lady Redskins team accomplished several things no other team could.

LEWISBURG — Sayre junior Caleb McClelland and Athens senior Jeff Gao each set school records here Friday at Day 2 of the PIAA, Class AA boys swimming championships.

McClelland knocked a little more than four seconds off his previous school record of 4:55.05 and finished 14th in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 4:50.96. ...more

Tonight's PIAA Class AA girls basketball "Sweet 16" match-up between Sayre and West Catholic of Philadelphia, originally scheduled for Tuesday at Hazleton High School, has been postponed and re-scheduled for Friday — once again at Hazleton High School.

Game time is 5 p.m.

The winner advances to the quarterfinals Saturday at a site and time to be determined.
