ATHENS TOWNSHIP —  Valley ASA held its Opening Day ceremonies here Saturday morning at the Athens Wesleyan Field with more than girls in uniform for the 2016 season than ever before.

During the ceremonies it was noted the organization now is for girls ages 5 to 18, has five divisions, and has seen its rosters “swell to more than 250 girls.”

TIOGA CENTER — Tioga senior Malley Bowen isn’t ready for her athletic career to end.

As a matter of fact, part of Bowen’s selection process for college was finding a school where she could play both volleyball and compete in track & field.

On Friday, Bowen signed a letter-of-intent to attend Keystone College in the fall, where she will get the chance to play both. ...more
