GUILDERLAND, N.Y. — The Owego-based Eyota Nation 12U travel softball team went 4-2 to finish third in the 16-team field last weekend here at the Guilderland Invitational.

Eyota Nation, which includes Athens' Amelia Martin, Waverly's Riley Hall and Tioga's Kelsey Vosburg, has finished second in three tournaments this summer and third in two others. ...more

It’s only fitting that Podolinski is still involved with baseball, still going to the ball field day after day.

It wasn’t that long ago that Podolinski dreamed of playing in the big leagues.

He imagined taking the field in front of 50,000 fans, closing out the win for his team.
