DISTRICT 6 LITTLE LEAGUE (MINORS): PAINTED POST RALLIES TO ELIMINATE WAVERLY, 12-6 (2017-07-04)

PAINTED POST — Painted Post plated four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, and three more in the fifth to pull out a 12-6 win to eliminate Waverly from the District 6 Little League Minors Division baseball playoffs.
Shea Bailey singled and later scored in the first inning to give Waverly a 1-0 lead, but Painted Post answered with four runs in the home half off the frame.
Jerry Carnrike doubled and scored in the second inning for Waverly, and Carter Davies drove home a run with a double, and scored a single by Hogan Shaw in the third inning to tie the game at 4-4.
After Painted Post took a 5-4 lead with a run in the bottom of the third inning, Waverly scored twice in the fourth on a double by Kohen Hugo, and back-to-back singles by Bailey and Andrew Larrabee.
Painted Post then built its 12-6 lead, and Waverly left the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning.
Bailey stroked four singles and scored two runs to lead Waverly at the plate, while Davies and Carnrike each doubled and scored a run.
Larrabee, Hugo, and Shaw each added a single in the win, and Bryce LaForest scored a run.
