ATHENS TOWNSHIP "” A pair of pitchers combined on a one-hitter, and SAL Ladies Aux. #283 took advantage of 23 base on balls to post a 17-2 win over Kellogg Rod & Gun Club here Monday evening in Valley ASA Majors Division softball action.

Courtney Wagner earned the win for SAL, allowing one run on one hit while striking out five and walking one in two innings in the pitcher's circle. Kailey Bentley allowed one run and struck out one in one inning of hitless relief.

Hanna Shutter singled twice, scored two runs, and had three RBI, while Emiley Chilson singled and had two RBI, and Emma Menninger singled and scored one run to account for SAL's four hits.

Bentley, Kaylee Peterson, and Wagner each scored three runs in the win, while Patience Boom and Gretchen Schmieg each scored twice, and Alexis Roberts crossed the plate once.

Toni Callands singled and scored one run, and Mazlin VanDuzer scored a run to account for Kellogg's offense.
