DISTRICT 4 SOFTBALL: ATHENS OPENS CLASS AAA PLAYOFFS AT HOME (2019-05-19)

THE VALLEY "” Athens will open the upcoming District 4, Class AAA softball playoffs at home Thursday.

The fourth-seed Lady Wildcats (14-4) will host fifth-seeded Bloomsburg (12-8) at 4:30 p.m.

The winner will face the winner of the game between top-seed Loyalsock (17-3) and eighth-seed Montoursville (9-9) in the semifinals, which will be held May 28 at the Moser Complex in Turbotville.

On the other side of the bracket, second-seed Warrior Run (18-2) hosts seventh-seed North Penn-Liberty (11-7) Wednesday, while third-seed seed Central Columbia (17-3) hosts sixth-seed Wellsboro (11-8).
