THE VALLEY "” The postseason rolls along on the diamond with Athens and Tioga softball both hosting playoff games this afternoon, while Waverly baseball makes the short trek to Owego.

BASEBALL
Section IV, Class B Playoffs
Quarterfinals
5-Waverly (14-6) at 4-Owego (6-12), 2:15 p.m.:  The Wolverines are coming off a 3-1 win over Edison in the IAC Championship game Friday, while the Indians ended the regular season with a 5-4 walk-off win over U-E Friday.

SOFTBALL
District 4, Class AAA Quarterfinals
5-Bloomsburg (12-8) at 4-Athens (14-4), 4:30 p.m.: The Lady Wildcats ended the regular season with a second-place finish at the Central Columbia Tournament Saturday,  blanking Milton 5-0 in the semifinals, and dropped a 9-1 decision to the host Lady Blue Jays in the finals, while Bloom lost to Selinsgrove, 5-2, Friday.

Section IV, Class C Playoffs
Opening Round
12-Groton (9-8) at 5-Tioga (11-5), 4:30 p.m.: The Lady Tigers are coming off a 6-0 loss to state-ranked Waverly Friday, while the Lady Indians wrapped up the regular season with a win over Southern Cayuga.
