THE VALLEY - IAC South Large School champion Waverly has four first-team divisional all-stars - senior Wendi Hammond, junior Riley Hall and Paige Lewis, and sophomore Hali Jenner, and two more who received honorable mention recognition.

The Lady Wolverines continue their season Friday against Oneida in the state quarterfinals at Carrier Park in East Syracuse.

FIRST TEAM
Wendi Hammond, senior, pitcher:
A first-team all-state pitcher last year, Hammond is putting up incredible numbers in the circle for her senior season. She is 18-2 with a 0.42 ERA and 253 strikeouts in 117 2/3 innings, while walking just 11 and allowing only 42 hits. Batters hit just .122 against her on the season. four no-hitters and a combined no-hitter

Hammond is also having a monster season at the plate. She is hitting .533 (32 hits in 60 ABs) with five doubles, two triples, 13 home runs, 36 RBI, 50 runs scored, and 15 stolen bases. She has walked 22 times for an on-base percentage of .671, to go along with a 1.333 slugging percentage, and a staggering OPS of 2.004.

Riley Hall, junior, catcher: A solid defensive catcher with a good arm, Hall is hitting .500 (35 hits in 70 ABs) with eight doubles, four home runs, 27 RBI, 25 runs scored, and four stolen bases. She has waked nine times for an on-base percentage of .563, to go along with a .786 slugging percentage and an OPS of 1.348.

Paige Lewis, junior, first base: A solid defender at first base, Lewis is batting .321 (17 hits in 53 Abs) with five doubles, one triple, 18 RBI, 13 runs scored, and two stolen bases.

Hali Jenner, sophomore, third base: A strong-armed defender, Jenner is hitting .311 (23 hits in 74 ABs) with five doubles, one home run, 17 RBI, 25 runs scored, and six stolen bases.

Honorable Mention
Kari VanAllen, senior, outfield:
A good defender in center field, VanAllen is batting .261 with two doubles, three triples, 13 RBI, 15 runs scored, and seven stolen bases. She has drawn 11 walks and a .414 on-base percentage.

Morgan Adams, junior, shortstop: A solid defender at shortstop with a strong arm, Adams is hitting .216 on the season with three doubles, one triple, 17 RBI, 16 runs scored, and three stolen bases. She has drawn 17 walks and has an on-base percentage of .412.
