ATHENS TOWNSHIP - Regular-season champion Pack Properties scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning to break open a tie game en route to a 13-4 win over SAL Ladies Auxiliary #283 in the Valley ASA Majors Division softball championship game at the Athens Wesleyan Field.

SAL scored three runs in the top of the  third inning, with Destiny Henderson's two-run home run the key blow, but Hailey Cardenas, Ciara Devine, Julianna Pack, Aliyah Butler, and Marissa Butler hit consecutive singles to open the home half of the inning to spark the game-clinching rally.

Cardenas and Devine each singled twice and scored three runs, and Aliyah Butler doubled and singled, and scored two runs to lead Pack Properties at the plate, while Mackenzie Morgan singled and scored two runs, and Pack singled and scored one run.

Abbey McGaughey added a double in the win, while Marissa Butler singled, and Kylie Stillman scored one run.

Henderson homered, singled, and scored two runs to lead SAL at the plate, while Kailey Bentley, Patience Boom, and Kaylee Peterson each singled, and Courtney Wagner scored one run.

Semiinals
SAL Ladies Aux. 12, Kellogg Rod & Gun Club 4

Courtney Wagner turned in a strong outing in the pitching circle, and at the plate to lead SAL Ladies Auxiliary to the championship game with a 12-4 win over Kellogg Rod & Gun Club Tuesday night.

SAL scored five runs in the top of the first inning, and led 8-1 after 1 1/2 innings.

Wagner allowed four runs on one hit, while striking out 11 and walking four in a complete-game win.

Wagner was 2-for-2 with a triple, three runs scored and six RBI, and Emma Renninger was 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored to pace SAL at the plate, while Kaily Bentley singled and scored three runs.

Destiny Henderson singled, scored two runs, and drove in one run in the win, while Kaylee Peterson singled, scored one run, and knocked in one run, Gretchen Schmieg singled and drove in one run, and Hanna Shutter and Patience Boom each added one hit.

Maddie Giggee doubled and scored one run to account for the Rod & Gun Club's lone hit, while Adriana Barnhart, Haleigh Green, and Kholie Zenwicz each scored one run.
