OWEGO - Nichols-Tioga (Luther) cranked out seven extra-base hits and Garret Godfrey was nearly perfect on the mound in a four-inning, 12-0 rout of Vestal (Burdick) in Owego Little League 12U Tournament pool play here Monday.

Godfrey retired 10 consecutive batters, eight by strikeout, before yielding a walk with one away in the top of the fourth. He finished the night with nine Ks.

He helped himself out at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and a run.

Four other N-T players contributed multiple hits. James Luther was 3-for-3 at the dish with a double and three runs. Eli Barnes went 2-for-2 with two doubles and two runs; Logan Bellis was 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs; and Zac Mumbulo went 2-for-3.

Taliah Speer went 1-for-2 with a double and a run; Andrew Earley was 1-for-2 with a run; and Brennan Sindoni was 1-for-3 with a triple and a run.

Nichols-Tioga faces Owego (Beyer) Friday at 5:30 p.m.
