WAVERLY - Waverly caught a glimpse of its 2019 football team Tuesday evening during a scrimmage against Harpursville / Afton at War Memorial Stadium here.

The 2018 Section IV Class C runner-up will have some new faces as well as a few familiar ones on this year's roster.

The Wolverines have moved up to Class B and will have perennial powerhouses Chenango Forks and Maine-Endwell on their eight-game Division II schedule. 

Waverly opens the season Sept. 6 at Class A Union-Endicott.
