LERAYSVILLE - Athens had four runners place in the top eight to earn wins over Northeast Bradford and North Penn-Mansfield here Tuesday afternoon in NTL boys cross country action, while the Lady Wildcats split a pair of decisions.

The Wildcats earned a 25-30 win over NEB, and topped North Penn-Mansgild, 26-31.

Senior T.J. Toscano finished second in a time of 18:01 to pace Athens' efforts, while sophomore Kyle Anthony finished fifth in 18:40, junior Connor Dahl was seventh in 18:46, and sophomore Matt Gorsline was eighth in 18:52.

Freshman Nate Prickitt was 14th in 20:30, while sophomore Brendan Jones was 15th in 20:31, sophomore Sander Bertsch was 17th in 20:53, Dustin Krise was 24th in 23:26, senior Ben Biles was 25th in 23:29, and junior Jon Ayres was 27th in 25:54.

GIRLS
Freshman Emma Bronson ran to a first-place finish in the double-dual, leading the Lady Wildcats to a 25-30 win over NEB. NP-M topped Athens 20-37.

Bronson clocked in at 22:46 to win the race, while sophomore Elizabeth Carey was ninth in 27:41, freshman Abby Prickitt was 10th in 28:51, and junior Allyson Rockwell was 11th in 28:59.

Sophomore Raven McCarthy-Gardner finished 17th for the Lady Wildcats in 30:24, while sophomore Emily King was 21st in 33:18, and sophomore Arin Rockwell was 22nd in 33:19.

JUNIOR HIGH
Boys

Carter Lewis finished second in 11:25, and Connor Mosher was second in 11:35 to lead Athens to a 15-50 win over NP-Mansfield in the junior high boys race. NEB topped Athens, 23-36.

Peter Jones was eighth in 12:13 for Athens, while Zach Earls was 12th in 14:02, Pierce Oldroyd was 13th in 14:03, and Aiden Oldroyd was 15th in 14:36.

Ryan Gorman was 17th in 16:53 for Athens, while Lohith Kimthala was 18th in 17:10, and Gehrig Thurston was 19th in 17:26.

Girls
Sara Bronson finished second in 11:37 to lead Athens to a 15-50 win over NP-Mansfield in the junior high girls race. NEB edged Athens, 27-28.

Cailyn Conklin finished fifth for Athens in a time of 12:33, while Janae Harkins was seventh in 13:15, Thea Bentley was eighth in 13:26, and Emily Henderson was ninth in 13:37. Neena Sanders was 16th in 23:26.
