IAC VOLLEYBALL: TIOGA BREEEZES TO SWEEP OF O-M (2019-09-17)

TIOGA "” Tioga made quick work of Odessa-Montour in a sweep here Tuesday night in IAC South Small School Division volleyball action.

The Lady Tigers, now 5-1 overall and 4-1 in divisional play, won by scores of 25-10, 25-13, and 25-6.

Senior Chloe Bellis led Tioga with three service points, three kills, and 17 setter assists, while senior Giovanna Rossi had five points (two ace), seven kills, and two blocks, sophomore Emme Hall had five points, including a team-high four aces, and five kills, and senior Madison Macumber added four points (two aces) and two kills.

Sophomore Julia Bellis had four points and two kills in the win, while senior Bri Rossi had three points and three digs, junior Katelyn Perry had three points and six assists, junior Mary Taylor had two points, two kills and two blocks, sophomore Molly Bombard had two points, senior Shaina Franks recorded two digs, and junior Ari Manwaring registered two kills and one block.

Jolene Minnier led O-M with two points, two digs, and blocks, Haley Landon added two points, and Rhys Stermer and Cheianne Webster chipped in with three and two digs, respectively.

Tioga hosts Waverly Thursday.

JV: Tioga swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-8 and 25-11. Brynn Hurd led Tioga with four points and three blocks, while Austyn Vance had three aces and three kills, Megan Shumway added three aces and five kills, and Lily Mesler chipped in with six assists.
