TIOGA CENTER "” Tioga jumped out to a 16-0 lead in the first half en route to a 30-0 win over Waverly here Monday afternoon in Section IV modified football action at Haggerty Field.

"It is always great to compete against Waverly; they have a great program," said Tioga coach Jason Bellis. "The environment was energetic with both teams well- supported in the stands.

"We still need to improve in our basics - blocking and tackling, but I'm happy we are able to get all of our players into the game for individual and team development," added Bellis.

The Tigers spread the ball around with Gianni Silvestri, Drew Macumber and Jamier Robinson scoring on TD runs, and Karson Sindoni catching a 26-yard TD pass.

Karon Staples was 3-for-4 on PAT kicks, which are two points in the modified game.

The Tigers return to action Saturday at Trumansburg.
