NTL VOLLEYBALL: TROY PULLS OUT 3-1 WIN OVER SAYRE (2019-09-21)

TROY "” The first three sets could have gone either way, but Troy was able to set itself up for a 3-1 win over Sayre here Saturday night in NTL volleyball action.

The Lady Trojans won the first set 25-22, but the Lady Redskins bounced back with a 25-23 win. Troy took a 2-1 lead with a 26-24 win in the third set, then closed out the match with a 25-18 win.

Emily Brion led Sayre with 13 service points and four digs, while Erika Wells had six points, including two aces, Lexi Post had five points, including three aces, three kills, and nine digs, and Gianna Quattrini added four points and four kills.

Madeleine Dutra had two points, 10 kills, and seven digs for the Lady Redskins, while Gabbi Randall registered three kills and two blocks, Madeline Wilson added three kills, one block, and two digs, and Julia Boyle recorded nine digs.

Sayre, now 2-5, returns to action Tuesday at Williamson.

JV: Sayre pulled out a 2-1 win in the junior varsity match. The junior Redskins won the first set 25-22 and the third set 15-11, with Troy winning the second set 25-14.
