EAGLES MERE — Sayre sophomore Kannon VanDuzer finished tied for 11th, and senior Gavin Blair was tied for 18th after Saturday’s second round of the District 4, Class AA golf championships here at the Eagle Mere Golf Club.
VanDuzer, who was 11th after shooting a 90 in Thursday’s opening round, shot a 91 Saturday to finish in a three-way tie for 11th with a two-day total of 181 (91-90). He did with Lewisburg’s Sean Kelly (83-98) and Central Columbia’s Logan Conner (91-90).
Blair, who entered the second day in 17th place after shooting a 92 Thursday, finished tied for 18th after carding a 99 for a two-day total of 191. He as tied with Lewisburg’s Brett Herman (93-98).
Cowanesque Valley’s Austin Outman breezed to a District 4 title with a two-day total of 15 (78-75), which is 11-over par. Wellsboro’s Joe Propheta was second with a 166 (88-78), and Wellsboro’s Ty Morral was third at 169 (86-83).
Montoursville’s Peyton Mussina (83-90) was fourth with a 173, Cowanesque Valley’s Joel Heck (89-85) was fifth with a 174, and Danville’s Caden Mutchler (89-76) was sixth with a 175.
The top six advanced to the PIAA Northeast Regionals.
