NTL VOLLEYBALL: CANTON KNOCKS OFF SAYRE, 3-1 (2019-10-08)

CANTON "” Sayre extended the match with a win in the third set, but Canton rolled to a big win in the fourth set for a 3-1 win here Tuesday night in NTL volleyball action.

The Lady Warriors won the first two sets by scores of 25-12 and 25-19. Sayre staved off defeat with a 25-19 win in the third set, but Canton closed out the match with a 25-5 win.

Sophomore Gia Quatrini led Sayre with nine service points, while senior Julia Boyle had seven setter assists, senior Emily Brion registered five kills, junior Gabbi Randall added four kills, and senior Madeline Wilson chipped in with two kills.

Sayre, now 3-10, returns to action Thursday at Wyalusing.

JV: Canton swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-12 and 25-21.
