THE VALLEY "” The Waverly boys host Notre Dame on the hardwoods in Tuesday's marquee event of the evening, but the Tioga boys hoop and bowling teams, and the Sayre swim teams are also home today.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Notre Dame (0-2) at Waverly (1-1), 5:30 p.m. JV start:
The Wolverines are coming off a 76-58 win at divisional rival Newark Valley Friday night, while the Crusaders are coming off a loss to Thomas A. Edison.

Last year, Waverly won at Notre Dame, 80-77, early in the season. The Crusaders beat the Wolverines, who were without 6-8 Scott Woodring, 63-43, in the second half of the season.

Newfield (2-1) at Tioga (0-1), 6 p.m. JV start: The Tigers are coming off a 66-35 season-opening loss to Candor Friday, while the Trojans topped S-VE, 68-53.

Last year, Tioga lost 63-39 at Newfield, and 68-60 at home.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Tioga (1-1) at Newfield (2-0), 5:30 p.m. JV start:
The Lady Tigers are coming off a 52-41 win over Candor Friday night, while the Lady Trojans rolled to a 56-31 win over S-VE.

Last year, Tioga lost 67-44 at home early in the season, then dropped a 55-28 decision at Newfield late in the season.

WRESTLING
Sayre (1-4) at Towanda (0-0), 7 p.m.:
The Redskins are coming off a 1-4 performance Saturday at the Wyalusing Duals, while the Black Knights open the 2019-20 season tonight.

BOYS SWIMMING
Waverly (2-0) at Lansing (1-1), 4:30 p.m.:
The Wolverines, who are riding a 32-meet win streak, are coming off a 133-50 win over Valley rival Athens, while the Bobcats topped Watkins Glen, 96-61 Thursday.

BOYS BOWLING
Marathon (0-8) at Tioga (7-1), 3:30 p.m.:
The Tigers are coming off a sweep of O-M, while the Olympians were swept.

The Tigers average a division-high 844 pins per game, while Marathon averages 600 pins.

GIRLS BOWLING
Marathon (4-4) at Tioga (1-7), 3:30 p.m.:
The Lady Tigers average 566 pins per game, while the Lady Olympians average 539.
